aquarium!

One of the things on our summer bucket list was to go to the Shedd Aquarium, 

we had such a good time!

My mom offered to watch Adalyn for the day & I felt bad leaving her behind.. 

but with the crowd that was there, it was a good thing that she stayed with Grammie.. 

..dumb Mommy picked the worst possible day for us to visit,

 it was free admission day for Chicago residents! ..oops!

So.. while it was weird without Addie, we still had a good time.. here's some pics of our day!

The special exhibit was Jellies! 

  

We loved looking at all the jellyfish, they were so cool!

Aidan's favorite was the penguins & we spent a bunch of time there watching them!

They were moving too fast for me to get a good picture,
but Aidan loved watching them swim back & forth in front of him.

There was also a kid's play area where Aidan dressed up as a penguin,
it was hard to drag him away from this, he was having so much fun!

I think he went down the slides 50 times!

I think the Caribbean Reef exhibit was our favorite.. the colors of all the fish were so bright!

Aidan saw these clown fish & said "Look, it's Nemo!"

I loved the seahorses :)

I couldn't get any good pics of the sharks, they were swimming too fast.. 

but Daddy & Aidan loved watching them together!

We had such a great time at the aquarium, 

and can't wait to go back in a few years with Adalyn!
