Silly Hector!

Hector was up to no good this year!

Aidan loved having him back again,
and Adalyn really didn't know what to think..!

Here's a sampling of the silly things we caught him doing this year:

Getting into the leftover Halloween candy,

Being artistic with a dry erase marker on the kids' pictures!

Turned the milk green one day..
(this made for some pretty interesting colored baked goods throughout the week!)

Got caught reading out little Bible ornament,
I think this is the only good thing that he did! :)

Making a mess with Aidan's toothpaste..

Elves need to shower too I guess!

Made a Lego tree & little presents for the kids..

Was caught in the car on the way to school one morning!

Replaced our Christmas stockings with Aidan's (clean!) underwear!

Returned for his last night with a special ornament & some treats for the kids..

I think they liked them! :)
See you again next year Hector!

Hector's back!

Aidan's silly elf came back after Thanksgiving.. with a Christmas breakfast for the kids!

This boy was VERY excited to see his North Pole friend again!

Hector brought new Christmas socks for the kids, candies & powdered donuts too..

..this girl LOVED the donuts!

This is one tradition that I love at this time of year,
I think Tony & I have more fun with it than the kids sometimes! ;)

Stay tuned for some of the goofy things Hector did this Christmas!

wedding!

Back in November, we went to a wedding!

Tony & I went to South Bend, IN to watch his nephew Jim get married,
 it was a beautiful wedding!

We had so much fun visiting with family & the night away just the two of us was nice too.

I was too short to get any good pics of the ceremony, but tried to get a photo of the vows..

Jim & Barb's reception was very nice, it was wonderful to sit down to a delicious dinner (filet mignon, my fav!) and not have to worry about cutting up the kids' food, going to the bathroom 100 times, or telling someone in particular to sit still til we were done eating! (ahem.. Aidan!)

So, it was some long overdue quality time with Tony that I enjoyed the most..

..and bonding with these goofballs too!

Tony's family is definitely fun, there is never a dull moment around these guys!

First dance.

Mother/son dance.

Tony's sister Linda, and her son Jim.. that's my nephew, who is older than me! lol

My favorite part of any wedding, the cake!

Congrats Jim & Barb, wishing you a lifetime of happiness! :)

project 365!

So..  I am jumping ahead of myself here a bit,
but I don't want to get behind, so here goes!

I have done this project in 2009 & 2011..
and it is probably the BEST thing that I have done memory-wise for our family,
it is SO fun to look back on all of our random photos,
it's a little peek into our daily lives that I know we will cherish for years to come.

I am going to try to share my photos here on our blog every week..
I am going to try.

I have lots of resolutions/goals for myself this year.. which I'll post about later..
but this is one that will keep me motivated to keep the blog updated.. my mom will be so happy!

Here we go!

January 1-6:

- Aidan tried so hard to stay up past midnight this year.. he fell asleep around 11:30!
- It was time for me to get a new phone, so my mom & I both got new iPhones!
- Yep.. our tree is still up.. at least it's pretty!

- Adalyn still loves her bottles, it's going to be hard for her to give them up!
- my mom is slowly getting used to her new phone.. me too!
- playtime on top of Daddy!
